Koderma

Koderma is the district headquarters and a well known region for agriculture and trade centre, the location terrain comprises of hills, hillocks, plains and mounds around. The highest peak is Debour Ghati which  is located 677m , the climate here is dry and moderate and it is situated at the height of 400 m  above sea level, the area is spread over a land space of 1,311 sq.km mostly surrounded by the Koderma forest . This district was abundant once in produces of mica but later started excavation due to the low quality and high costing, this place were previously known as ‘Abarakh Nagari’. Today this entire region depends on agriculture and produce paddy, maize, and pulses as the main crops of this district. Barakar and Sakri are the main rivers that flow through the region and the main tributary rivulets from Barakar River are Poanchkhara, Keso, Akto, Gurio, Gukhana Nadi.

Dhwajadhari Hill (pahari)

This is an important hill landmark to the district.

Satgawan Petro Falls

Amidst the deep woods this waterfalls is a lovely location filled in with scenic and picturesque picnic spot, the nearby location of visit are Makamaro Hills, again a place of nature filled and Urwan tourist complex is another place of tourist interest.

Tilaiya Dam

Located 9 km from the district headquarters this dam is built across the Barakar river with beautiful hillocks around this spot is a valid picnic location to have fun and admire nature as we make every step ahead…

Maa Chanchala Devi Temple

This temple is dedicated to Maa Chanchala Devi situated at a distance of 33 km from the district headquarters on the highways between Kodarma- Giridih, this ancient shrine is said to be the incarnation of Goddess Durga and near to it you have cave and rock cut paintings that’s expresses Durga devi in four forms will be an added attraction to the tourists.

Domchanch

St.Paramhans Baba memorial tomb here is a historical monument of remembrance and worship here.
