Hazaribag

The name of this district sounds poetic in the language of Urudu, this name is separated in two different meanings such as ‘hazar means thousand and bagh’ means garden therefore the places means thousand gardens. This is real with the landscape which is blessed out of nature and its beauty, the town of Hazaribagh is the district headquarters located 93 km from Ranchi. This spot is a noted location for health resort because of its nature and herbal values in it. The district lies in the northern part of the state at an elevation of 2000ft. the terrain is that one of high central plateau, a lower and more extensive plateau and the central valley of the Damodar River. This inculcates more performance on agriculture as the major occupation and the major cropping are rice, paddy, wheat, maize and oil-seeds. The river Konar a tributary of the River Damodar flows through the town gives irrigation and water resources to this spot. There are other small hills around these regions such as Sitagarha, Bamanbere, Tower hill; Canary hill and Hazaribagh Lake are the other attractions in this location.

Hazaribagh National Park

This place is full of hillocks, nullah, tropical forests and green and golden meadows around, this park is fauna filled which includes wild bears, sambhar, nilgai, chital and kakar, sloth bears, tigers and leopards. This location is situated 19 km from the district headquarters.

Isco

Located 40 km from the district headquarters is famous spot where they have recently found the oldest cave picture in the world will be a renowned location to the tourist.

Chauparan

The old Prakrit name of this spot is Chhau-Paran, this spot is connected to the Lord Buddha and its relics.

Parasnath Temple

This place reveals the devotional secrets of Parasnath who attained nirvana and purity those days, the Jain temple is located here is said to be the famous one in Jharkhand in this Parasnath hill. This temple of Jain is said to be constructed during the medieval periods with great architectural style and designs in the marble is a worthy spot to be visited.

Rajrappa

This spot is a charming location where scenery and nature bliss prevails into our soul is real experience here near the junction of Damodar and Bhairavi rivers. The location being filled around with numerous temples , expresses the spiritual values to man and his dwellings. You have Chinnamastika  a spot of pilgrim centre and other important temples around here are Mahavidyas such as Tara shodashi, Bhubaneswari, Bhariravi, Bagla, Kamla, Matangi and Dhumavati. The unique celebrations will be the wedlock ceremony and the children’s Mundan (tonsuring) is a ritual oath to their God’s. The other temples of serene spots are the Shiva temple and Goddess Bhavani temple , the Shree Ramakrishna Shanti Ashram which is located on the Barkagaon road is a spot which provides  spiritual delight and preaches the teachings of the great Swami Vivekananada.  It is said that this temple was established in the year 1962 and contains the statue of Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Holy Mother Saradamoni Dedi ( Sarada Devi)and Swami Vivekananda. These are the places of delight to get enlighten with peace of mind and be happy and making others happy.

Konar Dam

Located 51 km from the district headquarters, this dam is built across the Konar River is a picnic location with great amusements and also this is one among the Damodar valley project.

Suraj Kund

Situated at a distance of about 72 km from the district headquarters this region is said to be the hot water spring spot which benefits medicinal values to cure skin diseases and rheumatism.

Silwar Hill

Located just 8 km from the district headquarters is famously known for its Tower hill and Jagannath temple and a watchtower which exist from the British era.

Narsinghsthan

Here you have a shrine dedicated to lord Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. This spot is located just 5 km from the district headquarters is also famous for its jade black idol which was brought by the Damodar Mishra from Nepal during the 16th century reign , he was the renowned musician and a contemporary of tulsidas.

Barwadi Punkhri

This spot is situated 6 km from Barkagaon, it is famous for its megalith site atop hil and for the sculpted monuments of Buddha which are found I km from the site. The major waterfall spots are Harhad waterfall (18 km) Rajappar Falls (89 km) and Tiger waterfalls (12 km). These are the locations of enjoyment with nature and divine around here.
