Bokaro

This is a well known district headquarters and the great steel industry city which now evokes a rigid economic support to the state. This district was derived out from Dhanbad and Giridih districts in the year 1991. The landscape area is spread over 2861 sq.km and situated in the Chhota Nagpur region encircled with mountains and valleys and green dense forest everywhere with amazing scenic view in nature and the living things in it adds up a great pleasure in this planet earth. The local sights

This is a huge industrial location in India which consist a biggest steel complex here, this spot is situated along the Damodar River of the state. The project of such a big industry was on inception in the year 1959 and came to construction in the year 1965, the region is surrounded by coalfields and other raw materials of nature resources are the advantage of this spot. The colony is called as the Bokaro city which provides an exclusive housing and other community facilities to the workers of the plant.

Garga Dam

This is one among the tributes of Damodar, this dam is located on the river Garga and provides serves as an irrigation point to the district.

Parasnath Hills

Babudih

This is a village famous for its 75 ft high tower located in the Chas Block.

Bermo

Situated exactly 5 km from the district headquarters this spot is well known for its coal mines around, the township Bermo lies on the River banks of Damodar.

Chandrapura

Located at a distance of about 20 km from the district headquarters this spot consist of a bird sanctuary and a thermal power station. During the seasons of migration you get international birds landing in for seasonal visits.

Tenughat

In this location you have another Thermal power station and an earthen built dam in the year 1973 across the river Damodar still exist to excel as the main reservoir to Bokaro and Chas. The nearby important spot are Bansa, Thinjhipahari and Topchanchi.
