            India is a country of honor with great pride and prejudice that haunt the visitor’s attraction with all of its pleasure and beauty… every state of this country has its great importance with nature and culture, the people and their habits are really humble and affable in such way to be loved and beloved… one among these- Jharkhand a newly formed state from the year 2000 and previously it were a part of Bihar is now highly projecting into the industrial values to the country. The capital of the state is Ranchi and this entire state is encircled by some neighbouring states such as Bihar, Madhaya Pradesh, Orissa and West Bengal. Jharkhand is thickly populated by the tribal groups and clans because this region is so fertile enough for agricultural values like Paddy, wheat, maize and pulses , added to it, being a forest region- Jharkhand also provides great values of  forest produces as a major economical status to the state. The state official animal is Elephant and Cuckoo is the state bird. This state can also be said as a blessed piece of land in earth with all sort of natural credibility and treasures to mankind such as copper, coal, iron, manganese, mica, chromite and bauxite. This place on earth invites people from all around the world to visit and to cherish…

The Geography

The topo plan of this land is spread over an area of 79,714 sq.km filled in with everlasting green forest which provides a glamorous outlook on nature’s beauty and wildlife sanctuaries, lakes and waterfalls. This state is encamped with a lot of hill stations around starting from Chota Nagpur Plateau you have Bamiyaburu, Canary hills, Dharni Pahar, Dhwajadhari hills, Dimna Mountain, Gonda hills, Gotashila mountain, Gulgul hills, Hathi Pahar, Huluk hills, Kanhaiswar mountain, Koleshwari mountain, Kolhua hills Makamaro hills,Murhu hills, Panch Pandava Pahar, Parasnath hills, Rajmahal hills, Rakastongrithat hills, Ranchi hills, Saruat mountain, Tagore hills, Trikuti hills are the main walls of mountains that mound over this state “as masculinity bound over its loved ones…”

The rivers that wet these lands of Jharkhand are

The Ganges, The Damodar, The Mayurakshi, The Barakar,The Koel, The Sankh, The Sone, The Auranga, The Kharkai , The Swarnarekha, The Gumani and The Batane.

The natural reservoirs of this state are

Lake Dimna, Jayanti Sarowar, Topchanchi, Hazaribagh, Kanke Dam Hudco and Ranchi.Bichkiliya Dam, Maithon Dam, Tilaiya Dam, Hatia Dam, Palna Dam, Tilpara Barrage, Konar Dam and Panchet Dam are the man made achievements to preserve water to the state.

The climate

The landscape of this state is naturally filled in with green woods around is obviously spells a magical note on the climate over here, a pleasant humid throughout the year will really tease the man to ease ever with nature… the best time of visits could be made during the months of February and April.

The flora and fauna

Jharkhand is a state that prevails out with rocky terrains around which enhances wildlife sanctuaries and a variety of zoological aspects in hills and in the forests. This natural resources provides a huge gatherings of species and wild animals in this region, you have the great Indian Bengal Tigers, elephants, bison, sambhars, wild boars, porcupine, pythons, spotted deer’s (cheetals), rabbits, foxes, langurs, rhesus, blue bull, hare, wild cats, honey badgers, jackals, Malabar giant squirrels, mongoose, wolves, antelopes, lizards, venomous reptiles, insects and birds are the living beasts that are unchained in this region of nature filled…

The History

The pre historical values are from the Magadh empire monarchism and even before it… This state is known to be the oldest location of mankind inhabitance as tribal race even before 13th century. Those days the tribal reign and govern ship weren’t marked fame amidst the people. Therefore, they let allowed the nearby ruler Raja Jai Singh Deo of Orissa to reign Jharkhand, a wise decision to make the place to nourish and flourish and that gave way to the new thriving rulers from the tribe Munda Rajas, even today some part of this region adopt a semi autonomous rules over the state. Later, during the rulers of Mughal emperors conquer this region has been named as Kukara. The year 1765, this was the year that the East Indian Company men made this place go under the rule ship of British empire and from there onwards this region was named as Jharkhand which means “the land of the Jungle”. From the year 1900 the notion of making the southern regions of Bihar as a separate state were in plans but it took a century to make it real and in the year 2000 Jharkhand was announced as the 28th state of India.

The people

This landscape has its human invasion even before the pre historical records had been made, this location explicit human sojourned as a home town for numerous tribal communities, jungle wanderers and many right from the beginning of historical times. As of now this spot is populated by certain tribal people such as Asur,,Baiga,Banjara, Bathudi, Bedia, Binjhia, Brihor, Birjia, Chero, Chick-Baraik, Gond, Gorait, Ho, Karmali, Kharwar,Mahli, Mal-Paharia, Munda,Oraon,Parhaiya,Santal, Sauria-Paharia,Savar, Bhumij,Kol and Kanwar. Though these people belong to the tribal race they are much civilized to the core of modern trends and culture is an added advantage to the tourism.

The language

They speak Santhali, Mundari, Kurukh, Kortha, Nagpuria, Sadri, Khariya,Panchparagnia,Ho, Malto, Karmali, Bhojpuri,Hindi,Urdu and Bengali.

The religions

India basically known as a country of unity in diversity, here in Jharkhand is also to the same with the religious aspects it has Hinduism as the main culture of spirituality followed by Buddhism, Jainism, Islamism and Christianity spiritual beliefs. The tribal people also have their own created belief named Sama which could be related to the Pagan mythology periods says the British while they where in rule here. Later, Christianity missionaries have dedicated their heart soul and mind in order to inject Christian faith and belief which gave conversions and some time given up…but still the tribal practices of serving God and their culture of conducting spiritual services are haven’t yet changed , its still alive sustaining their colour and culture of this nativity.

The fairs and festivals…

The rhythmic music and dance, the dazzling lights and multicolor monster dyes at the monastery will express the fever of their festival moods. It has great fun and heroic celebrations throughout these periods. To name a few festivals like Batauli, Bhagta Parab, Binda Mela, Jomnamah and Damurai are the festivals of this state which are celebrated vivaciously.

The culture

This region is encircled with tribes and their groups, a number of villages around have a group of people related to their blood with two or more kin in it and very few villages have one clan group and that is very rare in this tribal dwellings. Therefore, marriages are the important factor here, without marriage one is not considered as a complete man in his birth to this earth of tribal values. They have their own system in getting married such as arranged or based on the initiatives of a boy or the girl .marriage by capture is a rare phenomenon and marriage by intrusion sometimes happen when a girl with great will introversive herself to the boys house and forces him to accept her as his life partner, in this case the boy has to pay to the father of the bride and if he is poor and unable to bear the cost then he is bonded to serve the brides father for a period and then take the girl in marriage with him is the rule that are followed stringently here, usually adult marriages are recorded and in very rare parts of this region child marriages are encouraged due to the Hinduism influences. Though monogamy is the regular system that is followed here, polygamists are not prohibited. The descendants are considered through the male genre and women are not supposed to own immoveable properties.

The staple food is boiled rice with lentils are the appetites considered to be the great understandings of the value of a morsel of food. Goats, Sheep, Fowls and Pigs are the sumptuous eatables but milk is not drunk instead a huge consumption of liquor is popular in this region, this arrack is been brewed from rice known as Handia. This is an awesome drink to the occasions of religious celebrations for these tribal celebrities.
The dresses of this tribal people are very simple, they wear a narrow piece of cloth tied round at the waist. They usually have two sets of dresses one for the home wear and the other to wear for outings. Men wear dhotis and women with saris while they go out in the public. Mostly women are fond of ornaments like sliver, brass etc; and they comb their hairs neatly by applying mustard seed oil or mouha oil. Tattoos on their forehead, legs and arms are the routine procedures are to follow their ancestral beliefs on magic.

The Dance and Music

“If music be the food of love Play it on” these wonderful lines of Shakespeare will come true with is tribal sojourner’s, they are so attached to the rhythm they create. To list a few of their celebrations are as follows:- Bansuri, Arbansi, Sahnai, Madanvari, Singa, Sankh Mandar, Dhol, dhak, Dhamsa, Nagara, Damama, Karha, Tasa, Jurinagra, Visamdhanki, Thapchanchu,Kartal, Jhanjh,Thala, Manjhira, Ghanta are the musical instruments and the rhythm patterns are based to the folk, they are Akhariya, Domkach, Dohari,Janani,Udasi, Pawas , Jhumta, Pratkali. To name some of the famous folk dancing styles here are Paika Chaw Jadur Karma Nachni Natua Matha Sohari and Lurisayro.

The Arts

The people here are to be much involved into artistic approaches in whatever they work, to name some of the fame arts in this region could be Oraon Bhitichitra , Santhali Bhitichitra and Jado Patiya are the styles of paintings that still exist.

The crafts

The people of  Jharkhand though they are tribal base they are good craftsmen with great workmanship , they excel in terracotta, bamboo-work, Seenk-work, Kasida, Pottery, Stone craft, textiles etc; apart from these they do wonderful body paintings , tattoos, stone cutting, bull painting ( during Bandna) folk painting fresco, sculpting horse, elephant etc; for the uses of rituality. Scroll painting or Paitkar is famous but recently becomes obsolete.

The Architecture

This region being circumference by green woods the architecture values are highly pleasant with wooden crafts and bamboo. The artistic traditional touches have begun even before the pre historic periods by the men of Bihar. The palaces and the towers and early buildings ere were in extensive wooden make, later came in the culture of burnt bricks and lime work to the buildings to this region. The Stupa an important architectural accomplishment of Mauryan period are the talk of the state as ancient monuments. The word Stupa means ‘something raised’ and became a Buddhist architectural form but when days rolled by this Stupa and Viharas were evaded in hard rocks. Yet, the wooden and bamboo workmanship are the favourite of this tribal people.

The Industries

The landscape of this spot is blessed profusely with natural elements of raw materials such as copper, iron, coal, manganese, mica, chromites and bauxite. Therefore, it leads to be the biggest industrial area in the country. Here, there are two major steel plants located – one at Bokaro and one at Jamshedpur where you have Tata Iron and Steel Company (TISCO).

The Economy

The major population is involved into agriculture with major cultivation crops like paddy, wheat, maize and pulses and these are the major resources for the economical status of this state that updates their current living.

The state is well connected with roadways to ply people and goods around the country. There are several private and government transport corporations working enough to serve the people.

The railways is another important transport facility that provides travel from and to nearby states in the country.

Ranchi the state capital has the major Airport connecting flights to Delhi, Patna, Mumbai, and Kolkata and nowadays this airport is becoming very busy and popular for the frequency in the air traffic.
